Important Information Regarding COVID-19
In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.
Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
Please expect changes at your next dental visit with us. Our morning begins with each staff member being evaluated by checking their temperature, spO2 levels, and for any symptoms. We ensure that our employees are asymptomatic and check prior history to ensure the safey of our patients. We have also set in place specific protocols for the exit and entry of the office to ensure everyone’s safety. Prior to coming into the office, please brush your teeth at home and wear a face mask to our office. Once you arrive, please call us from your vehicle and wait until we are ready for you. You will be greeted at the door by our staff member who will record your temperature and spO2 levels and administer handsanitizer to you prior to entering the office. Once we confirm that you are asymptomatic, you will enter the office and fill out a Covid-19 triage form. Payment will be collected prior to starting treatment and we will inform you if there are any changes during the procedure. As soon as everything has been verified, you will be seated in your treatment operatory. We have put these measures in place to minimize contact with others and to maintain social distancing as much as possible. You will notice HEPA air filtration devices with UV light constantly running in the operatories to sanitize the air throught treatment. We have also implemented new dental devices to reduce aerosols. Hygiene appointments will be available starting in June 2020 and there will be future changes in our hygiene protocol as well to ensure everyone’s safety. We are now scheduling routine dental care appointments starting on 5/18/2020. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing your smile!
